“When you look at the functions of the District Assemblies they are to provide infrastructure and ensure that services are provided for the people in a very equitable manner. So for instance if you are not part of the decisions about those things that the Assembly is going to provide, how can the Assembly determine what is right for you? The objective of the District Assembly concept is to get the vulnerable also participating in the decisions which affect them.

So I think the Action Voices project will really respond to the needs of women and the vulnerable by getting their views on what they need and how they feel about the District Assembly. In fact, the name of the project speaks louder than words; Action Voices! It means that you want all the voices of the people to be heard.”
